8- God’s Sunnah in sedition and affliction
God’s Sunnah in sedition and
affliction
Discord: the exam and the test
God Almighty said
Do
the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they
will not be tried
Fitnah: What happens among people
from fighting, may God bless him and grant him peace: (I see Fitnah in your
homes)
And from it, the Almighty said
And We test you with evil and with good as trial
From the Sunnah of Allah with regard
to affliction testing believers with adversity
The Almighty said
Or do you think that you
will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those
who passed on before you
They were touched by poverty
and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who
believed with him said, "When is the help of Allah?" Unquestionably,
the help of Allah is near
poverty
distress affects a person other than
himself and his body, such as taking money, driving out of home and threatening
security
Hardship
is what afflicts a person, such as
wounds
and murders.
He says
You will surely be tested in your
possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear from those who were
given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allah
much abuse.
But if you are patient and fear
Allah - indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of determination.
Temptation of Grace
The Almighty said
And when adversity touches man, he
calls upon Us; then when We bestow on him a favor from Us, he says, "I
have only been given it because of [my] knowledge." Rather, it is a
trial, but most of them do not know.
Temptation of money and children
The Almighty said
And know that your properties and
your children are but a trial and that Allah has with Him a great reward.
Examining people with the adornment
of the world
The Almighty said
Indeed, We have made that which is
on the earth adornment for it that We may test them [as to] which of them is
best in deed.
Imam Sufyan Al-Thawri said
That is, let us test them which are the most
precious in the decorations of this world
The affliction of the
infidel nations
The Almighty said
And We sent to no city a prophet
[who was denied] except that We seized its people with poverty and hardship
that they might humble themselves [to Allah].
He will afflict her with misery and misery,
hoping that this affliction will deter her from her unbelief and stubbornness,
and she will return to her Lord
Examining the believers in jihad
The Almighty said
Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while Allah
has not yet made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident
those who are steadfast
Affliction with evil
And
We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth
and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to
patient
People are the most distressed by
the scourge of the prophets, then the ideal and the best
Al-Tirmidhi reported in his
university on the authority of Musab bin Saad, on the authority of his father,
who said: I said: O Messenger of God, which people are more afflicted? He said
The prophets, then the ideal, the ideal. A man
is decimated according to his religion, and if there is a solid in his
religion, his affliction will intensify, and if there is tenderness in his
religion, he will be plagued with the extent of his religion, so what will the
calamity of the servant leave until he lets him walk on the earth and what he
owes
People are plagued by disparity
between them
And it is He who has made you
successors upon the earth and has raised some of you above others in degrees
[of rank] that He may try you through what He has
given you. Indeed, your Lord is
swift in penalty; but indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful.
That is, to test you in what He
bestowed upon you, and to test you with it, to test the rich in his wealth and
ask him about his thanks, and the poor in his poverty, and ask him about his
patience, and to test the prestige and authority in anything he used his authority
and authority
Seeking refuge with Allah
from temptations
It is permissible for a Muslim to
ask God Almighty and pray to Him and beg Him not to test Him with what is
difficult for Him and in what is not successful, and to protect Him from the
evil of the temptations to which they may be exposed
Hence the supplications mentioned in
the case of seeking refuge with God from temptations, among which is what
Bukhari and Muslim reported on the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with
her, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say
Oh God, I seek refuge in You from laziness,
old age, sin and love, from the trial of the grave and the torment of the
grave, from the temptation of fire and the torment of fire, and from the evil of
the temptation of wealth, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the
antichrist
And the great companion Anas bin
Malik, may God be pleased with him, used to say in his supplication ((... and I
seek refuge in you from the temptation of life and the temptation of death
Do not show them to us, and they
seduce us, seeing that they have appeared to us
Do not wish to meet the
enemy
Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, may God be
pleased with him, said: (Because I am well, I thank the dearer to me than to be
patient and be patient
prayers and peace be upon him, said (Do not
wish to meet the enemy and ask God for health, and if you meet them, be patient
That you do not rush the occurrence
of adversity and deliberately occur
