9 - The Six Pillars of Faith
The Six
Pillars of Faith
First:
Knowledge of God Almighty, knowledge of His Most Beautiful Names and Supreme
Attributes, and knowledge of the evidence of His existence and manifestations
of His greatness.
Second:
Knowledge of the world beyond nature, or the invisible world, and the forces of
good that are represented in the angels, and the forces of evil that are
represented in Satan and his armies of demons, and knowledge of what is in this
world of jinn and spirits.
Third:
Knowledge of the books of God that He revealed to define the features of truth
and falsehood, good and evil, lawful and unlawful, good and bad.
Fourth:
Knowledge of God’s prophets and messengers whom He chose to be the flags of
guidance and the leaders of creation to the truth.
Fifth: Knowing
the Last Day, and what it contains of resurrection and reward, reward and
punishment, heaven and hell.
Sixth:
Knowledge of the extent to which the universe’s system of creation and
management operates
B - The
importance of faith:
The knowledge
of God can ignite noble feelings, awaken the senses of goodness, nurture the
faculty of observation, inspire the pursuit of the most honorable and honorable
matters, and distance one from the despicable and foolish deeds.
And knowledge
of the angels: calls to imitate them and cooperate with them on the truth and
goodness. It also calls for full awareness and complete vigilance, so that only
what is good comes from a person, and he only acts for a noble purpose.
And knowledge
of the divine books: it is recognition of the rational approach that God has
drawn for man so that by walking on it he may reach his material and moral
perfection.
And knowledge
of the Messengers: what is meant by it is to draw their line, to adopt their
morals, and to follow their example, given that they represent the righteous
values and the clean life that God wanted for people.
Knowledge of
the Last Day is the strongest motivation for doing good and avoiding evil.
Knowledge of
destiny: It provides one with strength and energies that defies all obstacles
and difficulties, and without which great events are reduced
